BOE 55 Inches Screen with Vertical Bar/Lines Problem
Solved!
A BOE 55 inches screen panel with complaint problem
vertical lines or bar on the left side of screen. It looks like the panel X-COF defective, but it’s not. From
the photo below, the screen shows the rule of vertical lines on left side panel. This type of screen/panel
problem normally cause by T-con board or TV Mainboard.
Replaced with a good T-con board or TV Mainboard still the same problem as photo
below:
From the previous experience, normally this type of screen panel problem is cause by TV
Mainboard (firmware, DDR RAM, circuit lines loop hole & etc) or their Panel side board signals
missing/abnormal. Because we have tried replaced the TV Mainboard and T-con board, so confirm the problem or
culprit component is on the Panel side board.
After isolate the problem with method above, so we know the problem is on the side board there.
So, it is concentrate checking their TV panel side board now. First, look at the side board has any corrosion
mold, burn mark, dirty or not. If the panel side board looks good, so starting to check their components with
the multimeter now. Finally, found a resistor R3 (0 Ω) is no any ohm values or looks open circuit. Please
refer to the photo below of the R3 location:
After removed this R3 smd resistor, power on the screen, it is still showing the same problem.
Put back a same value (0 Ω) smd resistor on R3 and power on the screen again, the TV screen is back to normal
now!
Conclusion:
Most of the TV repairer will “wrong judgment” this type of TV problem is causing by TV Panel and
sent to the TV Panel repair shop. Or the TV screen panel repair shop with TAB Bonding machine, the repairer
normally will suspect their X-COF defective and replace them. If still not works after replaced the X-COF,
they will judgment this panel is beyond repair and the reason maybe is complaint their glass panel ITO line/s
inside the glass was broken or any other reason too.
We need to know how to judgment the right way when facing this type of TV problem. Especially,
the TV screen problem like the photo below, their vertical lines looking from left to right side, the
vertical lines position is on the right with regularly.
So please don’t replace the X-COF directly with this type of symptom, unless the vertical lines
will be jumping or moving when use the finger touches their X-COF! If after touch the X-COF, their vertical
lines back to normal (missing) or will change/moving, then you can replace their X-COF directly. Enjoy
