How to Repair Samsung C27F591FD (LC27F591FD) Curved LED Monitor with Screen Blur Problem

This article is provided by a TV repair technician. The Samsung C27F591FD Curved LED monitor (Full HD, 1920px X 1080px) with complaint display blur, like the photo below:

The curved led monitor symptom seems like too brightness on the screen. Try to do adjustment of the Brightness and Contrast setting, still not help. So need to  dismantling the curved led monitor and check their mainboard part number. It will looks like this:

Suspect their curved led monitor mainboard firmware abnormal. After tried to change working firmware to the mainboard (one is 24 eeprom and another one is 25 flash memory, both tried) but still same problem.  

Check the mainboard capacitor ESR values and resistor (high wattage, low ohm resistors) all seems normal. After search the curved led monitor symptom on the internet, some of them said this is the screen or panel problem.  

Removed the speakers and found the panel T-con board was under it. Since don’t have the T-con board schematic diagram, so just do a normal check to this PCB board. Check the resistance of LVDS connector video signal lines. Each group of signal line has a smd capacitor there, compare their resistance and third group signal line just has 39 ohm only! The others groups has 400+ ohm! Try to check the abnormal line voltage has 1.6V only. Suddenly, touch TSSOP14 IC (i7814HS) and the IC temperature is extremely hot. Suspect this IC cause the Samsung Curved LED monitor blur display problem.  

Removed the i7814HS IC and replaced it with a new one.  

Finally, after replaced the i7814HS IC, this Samsung C27F591FD Curved LED Monitor blur problem solved!

If you’ve read my previous screen panel repair ebooks, you will know my steps  or how i repair this Curved LED monitor. First, I will use the LVDS screen tester or mainboard video output tester XV2010 to be testing it. If the LVDS tester shows the screen also same problem, then it is the panel (or their T-CON) problem. So will directly go to check the T-con board & panel.  

From the display problem, it looks like the GAMMA or their VGL line problem. Since this T-con board schematic diagram is not available, so just check their PCB board. The i7814HS, is an iML7814HS Op-AMP IC, also a GAMMA IC. If you’ve experience repair TV with AS15 problem (this type of repair tips and experience was inside my LED/LCD Screen Panel Repair Guide, www.LCDRepairGuide.com), when the GAMMA IC abnormal, most of the time you can compare their output voltages or sometime their IC will extremely hot due to IC damage.  

When found this OP-AMP IC i7814HS, I will try to touch their temperature on the IC and check their output voltages too. So with my steps to repair this type of display/screen problem, you will faster and easy to solved the problem!
